TicSalut encourages the deployment of applications, initiatives and mobility projects around the country in the area of health and social welfare by offering resources, tools, guides and advice in the area of mHealth.
From 8 to 10 March, Madrid hosted the 19th edition of the INFORSALUD Congress 2016, which this year focused on Integral Healthcare: ICTs in coordination between the social and healthcare systems. This edition aimed to draw special attention to how the healthcare and social information of a citizen is integrated and their joint responsibility in their health in order to face current demands for improved attention and efficiency derived from the demographic evolution. Fundació TicSalut was present at the event.
The international Mobile World Congress was held from 22 to 25 February and this year registered a record numbers of visitors and exhibitors. Alongside this event, the ECHAlliance organised the Digital Health & Wellness Summit, a meeting focused on health and on the challenges of the application of mHealth in this field. In this context, one of the meetings focused on the exhibition of different state and European projects and Fundació TicSalut made its contribution with the m-Resist project.
The 23rd edition of the Catalan National Congress on Accidents and Emergencies will be held in April 2016 in Mataró. Fundació TicSalut is leading Table 8 on Digital Health (Friday 15, from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.).
“Infermera Virtual” launches its mobile application with multiple resources for the prescription of health links
The platform lands in the sector of health apps as a reference tool for health professionals and citizens. “Having these contents, advice and resources on the mobile is a change in the way that nurses can relate to the people we take care of”, Marc Fortes, the coordinator of Virtual nurse, explains.

Interview with Paul Verschure, CEO of Eodyne Systems

Paul Verschure is an ICREA researcher of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies (DTIC) of the Pompeu Fabra University and a founding partner/CEO of Eodyne Systems, a spin off of the research carried out by the SPECS (Synthetic, Perceptive, Emotive and Cognitive Systems) research group, which he directs within the Autonomous Systems and Neuro Robotics centre project of the UPF. Recently, Eodyne has announced the launch of a Rehabilitation Gaming System, innovative technology based on science for neuro-rehabilitation, and we want to have more details on the project and the view of its founder.

The IHTSDO and the DICOM Standards Committee have announced a licence agreement for the use of Snomed CT codes and descriptions in Digital Image and Communications in Medicine of the DICOM standards.
The main companies in the technology sector focused on healthcare, designing products like monitor bracelets, smartwatches and other products focused on measuring vital signs.
