Integrated social and health care from the social services leads the 1st Congress of Social Action in Catalonia

On July 6 and 7 Inclusió.cat gathered 450 congressioners at the University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia with the aim of promoting innovation, knowledge based on scientific evidence and professionalisation of the social services sector. In its first edition, the congress focused its sights on four axes: people-centered care; the new challenges for social service professionals; territorial partnerships for the provision of integrated social and health services and the transformation of the social services system for integrated care.

Study on the main obstacles detected in the provision of cross-border health services

The European Commission has published a study focusing on the main obstacles faced by health providers and professionals who want to settle in another member country of the European Union or offer cross-border services in a member state other than their own. The study encompasses primary care physicians, physiotherapists, medical laboratories and hospitals under the term of healthcare providers.

We interview Mrs. Rosa Cuscó, director of the Women 360º Congress

"Women have to conquer spaces of knowledge creation in the scientific and technological fields and become referents in innovation in health."

On the past 31 May, the Women 360º Congress Technology and Health Edition was held in Barcelona, ​​focusing on how new technologies are transforming the welfare of women and the sector in particular, from a holistic point of view. Fundació TicSalut participated with its director, Dr. Francesc Garcia Cuyàs, at the opening table and the first round table, and Ariadna Rius, the Foundation project manager, highlighted interoperability in health. We wanted to speak with the director of the Women 360º to know how this initiative arose and what challenges are coming soon. Mrs. Rosa Cuscó is the Director and Founder of the Women 360º Congress, manager at Comunicamos 360º, editor of the dDermis Magazine and a Social Media communicator.

Standards and Interoperability

New update of version 2.0.2 of the WiFIS protocol

The Office of Standards and Interoperability has published a new update of version WiFIS 2.0.2. The aim of the WiFIS project is to standardise and integrate all processes between health institutions, so that they can be connected by a central platform and avoid the point-to-point network of connections that complicates and makes the interconnection between centres more expensive.

  • Publication of TicSalut 2016 report

    TicSalut has published the annual report of the Foundation for 2016. This publication includes the different axes of the TicSalut Strategic Plan 2013-2017, among which there is that of being a benchmark in demand management, in normalization and interoperability, observatory of innovation applied to ICT, innovation projects, external projection of ICT in health, management and transfer of knowledge and guaranteeing sustainability.

    On Friday, 16 June 2017, the first mConnectathon of the ICT, health and social environment was held, in which the different participating developers (18 apps and 40 participants) were able to conduct tests of connectivity and interoperability with the future Digital Health Platform in a controlled and neutral environment.
