Barcelona hosts the second meeting of m-RESIST: new ways of care focused on patients with treatment-resistant schizophrenia

Coordinated by the Fundació TicSalut, with the clinical leadership of the Hospital de Sant Pau and technological leadership of the Belgian organisation iMinds, the aim of the second meeting will be to close the current stage of identifying users’ needs, in order to start up a new stage of designing the new mobile health system for patients with treatment-resistant schizophrenia and their later development and integration.

m-RESIST aims to develop a therapeutic programme that, with the support of mobile devices, actively involves patients with treatment-resistant schizophrenia and their carers, so that they are capable of self-managing their illness better.

Fundació TicSalut’s participation in the SNOMED CT EXPO 2015 in Uruguay

On the past 29 and 30 October, the SNOMED CT EXPO 2015 meeting was held in Montevideo, Uruguay. This event aims to create a place for exchanging experiences in the international development and use of SNOMED CT. The exhibition was attended by 420 people and more than 45 presentations were made. Also displayed were 3 posters and 4 training sessions were held following a structure of attended tutorials. The EXPO had an exhibition area of stands where different companies of the sector such as Apelon, BITAC, termMed, Vidal vademècum, etc.  were displaying their products and services. The Fundació TicSalut presented the Clinical Dictionary for iHealth, the transversal project of the Health Department led by the Office of Standards and Interoperability, which is intended to standardise the controlled vocabulary of the SISCAT. The dictionary uses the SNOMED CT standard as its reference terminology and basic ontology of representation, combining it with other controlled vocabularies such as the CIM-9-MC, CIM-10, LOINC, ATC, etc. The foundation was also able to visit the sessions of software development and the general assembly of the IHTSDO of the Business Meeting, which was held from 26 to 28 October at the same hotel Radisson.
