IHTSDO has published an evaluation version of subsets, and map to International Classification of Primary Care.
International Health Terminology Standards Development Organisation
IHTSDO has published an evaluation version of its SNOMED CT General and Family Practice (GP/FP) subsets, and map to International Classification of Primary Care, version 2 (ICPC-2).
The SNOMED CT GP/FP Subsets and ICPC-2 Map were created by a collaborative project involving the WONCA International Classification Committee (WICC) and IHTSDO special interest groups.
The subsets and map make it easy to standardize clinical information in software used in general and family practice settings. This enables the data to be reused for purposes such as transferring patient records from one healthcare facility to another, and public health reporting.
The subsets and map are for use by vendors of electronic health record (EHR) software, software developers, researchers and other stakeholders who use SNOMED CT in their systems and research. Subsets make it easy to use SNOMED CT in software systems by grouping terms for specific clinical uses. This reduces the cost of implementing SNOMED CT in software systems.
The SNOMED CT GP/FP Subsets and ICPC-2 Map release is a Candidate Baseline release, and is for evaluation purposes only; it is not for use in live systems. The subsets and map are available to member countries and Affiliate Licensees from the IHTSDO collaborate workspace. Please provide feedback to info(ELIMINAR)@ihtsdo.org.
The subsets and map will be released for use in live clinical systems on March 31, 2015
