The approval of the mHealth.cat Mobile Master Plan at the beginning of 2015 by the Government, allows to bring health and wellness services closer to people through mobile technologies and at the same time facilitate the transformation of the different healthcare and social processes and achieve a close-to-patient, integrated care.
In this framework, Portal AppSalut was born, a showcase of health sector and social service applications to encourage citizens take care of their own health, raising awareness and making them coresponsible for their own health. Unlike Apps and Mobile Projects sections, where projects developed in health and social sectors are presented, applications presented in Portal AppSalut will have first passed a quality accreditation process, thereby yielding a secure and reliable environment to use this technology. At the same time, applications available are totally free of charge, for both iOS and Android devices.
Data generated by citizens through the use of these applications will be accessed by healthcare professionals and integrated in the user’s health record, if citizens agreed to it, through Plataforma de Salut Digital.
